‘Vibrations’ showcases a new collection of weavings inspired by silent meditation, where thoughts fade away, and the self is felt as tingling, fizzing, and popping sensations, expressed through vibrating fields of colour. The woven paintings emerge through a subconscious process, with each line building on the last, and accidents redirecting the pattern. Forming abstract landscapes with the unexpectedness of encounters with nature. The works often inadvertently reflect deep memories and gentle observations, such as of rippling water and rock formations. Some of the small weavings were made on an artist residency sailing in the Inner Hebrides, Scotland, with Sail Britain and the Wilderness Art Collective. They incorporate colours and textures from the coastline.
