David Matthew King returns for his third solo exhibition with The Dot Project .
Sometimes they’re speaking. Sometimes they’re listening. Sometimes they’re me. Sometimes they’re other people. Always they are trying to make sense of time, societal changes, expectations, growing older and all that comes with it.
They were the background characters of a children’s movie, but the film has ended and they have grown up with no script, no direction and with nobody in charge. They continue on, not knowing if someone is watching, wandering lost in cartoon landscape that nobody bothers to animate.
